As we get into our weekly Tuesday morning podcasts featuring incredibly fierce women who have spoken on our stage, I’m so pleased to introduce you to a woman who will inspire you to find and follow your purpose… Kristin Keen!

Kristin is the founder of Rethreaded, an organization that renews hope, reignites dreams and releases potential for survivors of human trafficking.

Kristin lived and worked for five years in Kolkata, India where she encountered the life-stealing effects of the area’s sex trade on a daily basis.  She co-founded a safe haven for women there – which now employs 120 people in Kolkota.

Rethreaded was born out of a desire to serve women in similar situations here in the US…  Kristin knew the biggest need was for a safe, supportive work environment where survivors could earn money while learning a skill and experiencing continued healing through community.  

Among many other awards, Kristin has been named to Jacksonville Florida’s ’40 Under 40′ and as a ‘Woman of Vision’ and she has been recognized by the Florida Retailer Federation as Outstanding Retail Leader of the Year.
