Meet American Girl’s 2015 Girl of the Year: Grace Thomas

Grace is latest installation of the American Girl brand, and she is one that moms can get excited about sharing with their daughters.  Grace’s series of books detail her passion for baking, and how she turned that passion into a business with the help of her two friends.  Just like the other dolls in the line, Grace comes with books describing her story, and Grace’s story teaches girls entrepreneurial skills, as well as the importance of working with and supporting your friends.

“To support Grace’s story, American Girl has launched ‘For Goodness, Bake!’, a yearlong fundraising initiative to support Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry, a campaign to end child hunger in America.”

American Girl is using Grace’s story to encourage girls across America to get involved too, by using their entrepreneurial skills to host bake sales to raise money for the campaign. American Girl has already $50,000 to No Kid Hungry.
