Kumasi Aaron is a morning news anchor and reporter at KGO-TV in San Francisco, California reporting on breaking news events.
She is also a She Is Fierce! Mentor, past speaker and member!
In this episode of the podcast she shares how being true to yourself, while doing the work you love, is possible.
After being behind a desk and working behind the scenes in New York, she finally landed her first job as an Anchor/Reporter in Arkansas.
Years of hard work and career development brought her back to her home state of Florida where she had the courage to wear her natural hair on air for the first time. She shares how – and why – it felt so good to be her authentic self, and how that courageous act helped her realize that part of her future work would be encouraging others by example to do the same.
As a journalist, she loves building relationships throughout her community while learning their stories.
In this podcast you’ll hear how:
- To believe in your own potential and follow your dreams
- To remain true to yourself, even in the public eye
- To live in the moment while being present with yourself
